Who processes your data

Ask then Go is a travel planner you use without an account: you describe a trip, an AI assistant builds a plan, and partner offers are shown next to it. We collect as little as the service needs.
What we process and why

The server also keeps short-lived technical caches (place positions, routes, photo addresses, recent fares, cost estimates) so the same lookups are not repeated. They contain no personal identifiers.
Cookies and storage in your browser
- Ask then Go sets no cookies and does not track you. Your browser's localStorage keeps your saved trips, your language, your cookie choice and the keys of links you shared. These stay on your device.
- Partner widgets — Kiwi.com flights (through Travelpayouts), the Stay22 hotel map (Booking.com hotels) and GetYourGuide activities, with GetYourGuide's analytics script — show live prices and set their own cookies, including for commission attribution. They load only after you agree: in the cookie banner, or with the “show” button in the section itself. You can change your choice any time from “Cookies” at the bottom of the page.
Other services the page uses
- Language: on your first visit the page asks ipwho.is which country your connection comes from, only to pick the language. Nothing else is sent.
- Maps and roads: the map tiles come from OpenFreeMap (OpenStreetMap data, no cookies). To place the stops and measure real road distances, our server sends only the names and coordinates of the places on your route to OpenStreetMap Nominatim, the public OSRM router and Open-Meteo.
- Photos: Wikimedia Commons and Unsplash; your browser loads the images directly from them, without tracking cookies.
- Affiliate links: some buttons lead to partners (for example Kiwi.com, Booking.com through Stay22, GetYourGuide, Klook, Localrent, GetTransfer, Saily, Airalo, AirHelp). If you book, we may earn a commission; your price does not change. What happens on a partner's site is governed by that partner's own privacy policy.
- Hosting: the site runs on Render (servers in Frankfurt, Germany); the domain's DNS is managed by Cloudflare.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time — write to support@askthengo.com. Trips saved in your browser you can delete yourself, and a shared link you can stop yourself. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in Romania: ANSPDCP).
Ask then Go is not intended for children under 16.
